Saturday Special Sandwich Surprise! Bay Boy bakes up the stellar sandwich for two weeks at a time, onky serving it Saturdays, and the secret is out. It was crowded around the lunch rush this past Saturday, so be prepared to be patient. You still have one opportunity to snag this sandwich for yourself (and that's on Saturday, August 19th, to be precise). This chef creation is a rift on a classic chicken caesar complete with hardboiled eggs, something that everyone is familiar with but becomes more novelty between two giant Dutch crunch rolls. Here's the deal, this sandwich was solid, but it was a tad dry. It needed more sauce, more Caesar dressing to keep the sandwich-dare, I say...moist. Other than that, the sandwich was truly astonishing with juicy succulent chicken and crispy fresh lettuce. Clean flavors that just made sense in between two slices of bread. The star of Bay Boy is by far the bread, and it is unique if you haven't ever experienced a Dutch crunch, then you're in for a treat. Also, the bakery bread is baked fresh, so if you're around the neighborhood before the place opens, you'll relish in wafts of sweet yeasty dough. As for the "ambiance" this is a no frills sandwich shop that upgraded from a sandwich grab and go window. It shares space with an adorable coffee shop and has a pretty decent sized patio. But, believe me! You're coming for the bread, and what comes in between it and you won't be disappointed in Bay Boys buns!

I'm from the Bay Area. San Francisco to be exact- Born and raised,so I was excited to try this place out! I really wanted to LOVE it. The sandwiches were tasty, 100%! Nothing to complain about the taste itself.. however for $15 per sandwich and the size of it, and the contents of it itself.. I was shocked. We paid $40 for two sandwiches, a bag of chips and some sodas. The shops in San Francisco that the owner opened this shop in honor of give you a MASSIVE sandwich with double to triple the meat and a longer loaf of bread for less so I was expecting something similar. I wanted to love it, I just like it. It is a very cool place with board games, tvs, a casual fun ambiance, but I wish it the bang for your buck was more apparent.

I ordered a sandwich through Grubhub delivery. I got the speciality called Boom Roasted! It featured roasted Roma tomatoes, roast beef, melted Gouda cheese, and garlic mayo. Was it a tasty sandwich? Absolutely! Do I think it was worth $14? Not really. The Dutch crunch roll was great, but the sandwich itself is pretty small, especially for the price. I didn't experience the service or ambiance since I ordered delivery, but in terms of the sandwich itself, I would say it was pretty good. I just wouldn't go out of my way to get a sandwich from here.
